                               RESOLUTION NO. 19376
                   
                   
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE 
                   CITY'S FINANCIAL ADVISOR, BOND COUNSEL, AND 
                   FINANCE DEPARTMENT TO PROCEED WITH DOCUMENT 
                   PREPARATION, REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS FOR 
                   UNDERWRITERS AND OTHER SERVICE PROVIDERS, 
                   AND TO TAKE SUCH OTHER STEPS AS ARE 
                   NECESSARY FOR A NEW BOND ISSUE FOR ADVANCE 
                   REFUNDING, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, OF THE 
                   CITY'S GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, SERIES 
                   1986A, 1986B, AND 1988.
                   
                   
                                                     
                   
                   
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the City's Financial Advisor, Bond 
       Counsel, and Finance Department be and are hereby authorized and 
       directed to proceed with document preparation, requests for 
       proposals for underwriters and other service providers, and to 
       take such other steps as are necessary for a new bond issue for 
       advance refunding, in whole or in part, of the City's General 
       Obligation Bonds, Series 1986A, 1986B, and 1988.
